10 Songs that will take you back to the movie

Looking back now, I realize I always enjoyed watching movies. Even the fact of actually having to leave the house to go to a video shop, just to rent a VHS. Yes, I said VHS; Video Home System. Those thick black rectangular shaped things, also known as videocassettes, you insert one in a video player, let it rewind all the way to the start, then press play. Those were the days of the pre-DVD-home-theater era.

Watching movies is also something my husband and I have 100% in common. Our date nights usually consists of going to the movie theater. Both of us like similar movie genres, so picking a movie is never a problem.

For me a great movie entails a catching storyline with awesome characters, attractive actors and suitable music. When I hear a song featured in a movie I’ve watched, it immediately takes me back to the specific scene and/or even to the feeling I had while watching the movie. Who knows. It may even be therapeutic in one way or another.

Today I want to share with you my top ten songs listed on movie soundtracks. And YES, I am aware that several of these songs are on multiple movie soundtracks. But all of these songs touched me in a positive way; some lifted me up, some gave me goosebumps, and some made me cry.
So enjoy!
